Ridicoulous 240W Charging Demonstrated at MWC23 Gimmick Or Real?

Realme's GT Neo 5, a smartphone that supports 240W SuperVOOC fast-charging and can fully charge its 4,600mAh battery in just 9.5 minutes, will soon be available in select markets worldwide. The phone was originally announced in China earlier this month under the GT Neo 5 name, but it will be sold internationally as the Realme GT3. The starting price for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version is $649, and it will be available to purchase globally in May and June of this year. Realme's Vice President of Global Marketing, Chase Xu, confirmed this during a Q&A session following the announcement. Realme is a smartphone manufacturer under the BBK Electronics umbrella, which also includes OnePlus and Oppo. The latter announced a 240W proof of concept charging technology at MWC last year.
